The Penang Clan Jetties were memorized the history of the early Penang. In 19th century, the Chinese migrants come from China and stayed at here. During that time, the Chinese still held a strong belief of lineage origins, hence, they often occupied and marked their territories by their surnames. Until today, there were only seven Penang Clan Jetties were remained which is Koay Jetty, Lim Jetty, Chew Jetty, Tan Jetty, Lee Jetty, Yeoh Jetty, Peng Aun Jetty and Mix Clan Jetty.
